Baal Krishna

Lord Krishna is Sat-Chit-Ananda which also means the ultimate truth, consciousness and eternal bliss and joy manifested in the form of little Krishna or as an eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is also known as Prem Avatar.

The form of Krishna according to the Vedas described as a glowing complexion with the appearance of the color of rain clouds. Little Krishna is also described as Neelmani or the peaceful blue color diamond. Krishna also means all attractive attracting the ultimate heavenly forces and positivity from all forces and attracting the hearts of all. Krishna symbolizes tenderness, patience, compassion and love. He has a brilliant cheek and an enchanting smile. He wears a peacock feather on His black curly hair. He wears a pitambar (yellow silk) garment and his toe nail resemble the light of the moon. He is depicted as playful, mischievous child, known for his pranks and love for music and dance. Little Krishna loves the fresh handmade butter and would steal butter from his home as well as other neighboring home of Vrindavan. He would charm the Gopis (Cowherd women of Vrindavan) and steal their butter. Mother Yashoda would lovingly wear little Krishna with beautiful ornaments especially golden Kondhani (ornament that produce sound) and tracks whether Krishna would move. "Ornaments caress Krishna's body, but His transcendental body is so beautiful that it beautifies the ornaments He wears. Therefore, Krishna’s body is said to be the ornament of ornaments. " –Chaitanya Charitamrita, Madhya 21.105.  Not only do the Vedas tell us what Krishna looks like, but pure souls have received His audience and written of their encounters. And fifty centuries ago, Krishna revealed His transcendental form.

Devaki (Lord Krishna’s mother) represents the physical body, while Vasudeva (Lord Krishna’s father) represents the Prana (the vital life-force). When prana rises in the body, joy (Krishna) is born. That's why Krishna is called Nandalala – one who is the embodiment of bliss. Within this small body you are able to experience the infinite space (through spiritual practices). Kamsa represents the ego. Kamsa is Devaki’s brother which indicates that the ego is born along with the body. The biggest adversary of ego is joy. Ego cannot survive and has to bow down where there is joy and love. A person can hold a very high position in society, but he melts in front of his own little child. When the child falls ill, however strong the person is, he feels a little helpless. Ego simply melts when confronted with love, simplicity and joy. This is why there is a war between ego (Kamsa) and love. Krishna is the epitome of joy, the quintessence of simplicity and the very source of love.
